Dr. Howard Anderson
Howard Anderson is the Pastor of the St. Paul Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, a church for people to discover their best life. He is a minister and scholar with a reputation as an influential preacher, critical thinker, and innovative leader in Christian ministry. With a passion for preaching, teaching, and leadership—he is gifted with the unique ability to communicate cross-culturally by inspiring people from all walks of life to discover life and enjoy God.
He teaches doctoral students at United Theological Seminary and theology/biblical courses at Baptist University of the Americas, in addition to serving as the president of Guadalupe School of Religion.
Committing his life to excellence in both ministry and education, he holds a Master of Divinity in theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in spiritual direction from United Theological Seminary; and is a graduate of University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master of Arts in communication.
He served an illuminating career in the Air Force (CMSGT) and the Texas State Guard Chaplain Corps (COLONEL). Being dedicated to the connection of ministry and community, he served on the boards of San Antonio Literacy Council, Ella Austin Community Center, San Antonio Branch NAACP, and Bexar County OIC. Howard has a heart for the city and works proactively with community partners to forge toward a greater San Antonio.
He is married to the love of his life, Veretta M. François Anderson.
